Designed and embroidered by Stella
There is so much in life for us.
If only we could stop the evil
that dominates us,
We could do great little things
That would give us the happiness it brings.

Black Cloud
There 's a big black cloud passing by
"Where to now? I cry
You look so fierce, it seems to me
Perhaps the sun, will dispel thee.

We think our children have gone astray
Not really, every second word they say,
Oh my God! You want me to pray?
by Stella
Stella in her determined voice said, “If I wanted something done I got up and did it.
I put up the ceiling in the kitchen and wallpaper .”
She changed her wallpaper many times.
Stella made a design in the cement at the base of the house around the structure.
Strengthen my Faith in Thee
And all will be well with me.

Beware My Children
Beware, my children, that you do not see
The differences I have created in Thee
For indeed you would cause
A gap in you and Me.
by Stella
Dear Jesus, I desire to be with Thee
For all eternity!
In the morning Stella feeds the fish at the ponds that Teddy constructed.
Driving Prayer
Be thou, Oh Lord,
My eyes upon the road,
My hands upon the wheel
My feet upon the pedals
Keep me safe from others
Keep other safe from me.

My greatest gift to God would be
To give Him back
The things He gave me.

One of Stella’s Afghans / 1960
Stella used a three ply yarn to make the Afghan.
Stella’ s interest in working with yarn was started when she was a teen- ager passing a yarn factory. If a spool fell off the machines it couldn’t be used any more. What fell was thrown away and people would pick them out of the garbage. In the summer they would sit at the beach and wrap the yarn into balls.
Note the wall paper that Stella put up.
Bridge that Connects the
Two Ponds
Ted built the swing for his mother.
As she sits outside in the swing, on the porch, or in the grotto, she can hear the church bells chime at the nearby church of Gloria Dei.
Technology
Technology, technology
that is not for me
For I have my own
brains to work for me.
Don't ask me to do more
My heart is already down to the floor.
And still they ask, and ask
What can you do for me more?

Stella’a Needle Work
How can they predict what nature inflicts
But cannot tell, that God is on His way,
Prepare ye the way and behave
Be as good as ye may

God is not in our heart
If we take someone apart
“Nor did that jewel tumble from its ribbon,
But ran its course along the radial line
And looked like fire seen through alabaster.”
Second verse of Dante’s Star
You see, even though I'm as small as can be
All the things the Lord has put into me!

Stella drove until she was 100 - to daily Mass-and then decided that she didn’t want to renew her driver’s license.
A walk through her garden, the garden her son constructed for her, rejuvenates her by all the beauty that surrounds her.
As Stella sits in her grotto, she can hear the bells chime from Gloria Dei Church near by.
Positive Attitude, a Faith-Filled Life, and a Spirit of Gratitude
Stella realizes life is meaningful; to her life matters and counts.
She lives life in accordance with her
value system - not someone else’s.
She has a sense of well being:
life is meaningful and purposeful.
For Stella relationships are important -
family and friends sharing with her
what matters in lieu of living alone.
She knows that she counts for something;
she knows she is valued.
