Stella was asked, “Is it cold enough for you?” Stella wanted to know ”Are you asking me or are you giving me a saying?” At 103.7 Stella has good cognitive skills; is able to discern between a rhetorical question and an actual statement. ( The temp. was 19 on this Feb. day.)

On this third week of Lent,
Stella listens to the admonition of her pastor and bishop.
In spirit, she and her son, Teddy,
attend Mass via the TV.
Stella later basked in the sun
on this warm March day
and called a friend.
She relaxed and enjoyed conversing with her children
in NH, VT, Florida, and Georgia.
Stella isn’t letting the Corona Virus dampen her happy disposition or
place fear in her heart.
“God calls us in His Own Way.”
Stella keeps up her daily schedule during the Corona Virus Pandemic.
Teddy plays cards with Stella everyday
after their noon meal.
It is Stella’s job to make the salad for their meals.
What Is Life?
It is a joy, a dream, a sorrow
If you should want my eye,
I give it to thee
If you should want any part of me
that too shall be
But my soul I donate to Thee.

Corona Virus World Wide Pandemic Ignites Memories
Stella’s sister died during the Spanish Pandemic in 1918.
In 1946 Stella married her husband in Brooklyn. Since Lent started on the 6th that year, her mother pushed her wedding to March 2nd. Her sisters feverishly sewed Stella’s wedding gown and made preparations for the great occasion.
Kathy’s memories took her to her parent’s wedding photo she
has hanging in her home.
“Everything is in the Hands of God.”
