    I began as a regular classroom teacher of grades 1-4 in Illinois.  I moved to New Jersey and taught 4th grade. After moving to Long Island, I became a reading specialist taking the role of a Title I teacher for grades 4-6. In another move I continued as a Title I teacher where I worked in tandem with the ESL teacher, grades 3-5 . Later I accepted a full time position as a primary reading  teacher in Bay Shore, New York.

I am now retired after 34 years of teaching. My teaching takes on a different role with my grandchildren.  I continue researching and updating my web sites.
